kinda new to the off-road thing even tho i wanna get a truck 1 day but honest question from a car enthusiast what makes a great off-road truck? does it matter what suspension you run (brand wise), tires (brand wise), bakes, calipers and yr, make n model or would any truck with the right components do the job? also asking cuz my gf has a 96 jeep with a straight 6 (fully stock minus the radio and a sub)

47:13 Thanks for shouting my uncle, my dad’s twin brother Dana Sniff and his great C4 transmissions. My roommate saw this video and sent me the link. Unfortunately my uncle had a major stroke 4 months ago, almost died and had lost his ability to use his right arm and leg, and his ability to speak although he has started to regain some speaking ability through lots of therapy. He is also now up and walking a little bit, still recovering day by day, lots of therapy, but unfortunately it’s looking like he won’t be able to build anymore of his well known race Transmissions. I showed him this video today and he got a kick out of the shoutout and kind words about his work. I don’t know what he has currently, whether he has any built transmissions laying around or not, but I know my dad and my aunt were going to start looking into selling some tools and other items to help with the medical bills. Sweet truck. The story on the res tube mounted below basically ups the fluid flow through the piston by about 15% when the piston passes the port. Icon does it on some rear Toyota shocks. Dan vance built and prepped his trucks off Cherry in Long Beach too

Frame kicking,,, many people do that.. we use to switch the cab mounts front to rear ,it automatically will kick the frame pretty high in rear without any frame cutting or mods

Fun fact: when hitting whoops on a moto bike ideally you want to be pretty centered over the bike and not leaning back. Suspension upgrades help tremendously with this. Leaning back is one of those urban legends kinda like loading a trailer with the weight over the axels when in reality the weight should be closer to the tongue. Weight over the axels seems logical but thats how you get that high speed wobble

I’ve had total chaos on my 06 tundra since I built it up new in 2006 n I’ve had no problems with any of it since it was built in 06 now it’s 2024 like damn you guys know how to build, it was funny people were always saying total chaos is so generic when I bought it and now look it’s still bangin it out still lol n I hv 316,000k miles on it

A cloth over the mic will take away the wind noise. Even like a thin bandanna.

I had the same setup about say 20 years ago. I put dual Webber 48’s on it. Was absolutely a beast but had no drive ability. To this day was the best truck I ever built.
